Lieutenant Scott Crater

Lieutenant Scott Crater began his law enforcement career in 1995 with the Hillsborough Township Police Department where he was assigned to the Patrol Division, Bicycle Patrol Unit, and Community Policing Division; Lt. Crater was also a D.A.R.E instructor. In 1999 he was hired by the Readington Township Police Department and was assigned to the Patrol Division where he obtained the rank of Sergeant in 2003. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2008.

Prior to embarking on his career in law enforcement Lieutenant Crater obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master’s degree in Education. While attending college Lt. Crater was a two-year captain and four-year varsity letterwinner while competing on his college's wrestling team.
